Hindu Vishwakarma belong to an upper caste known as Brahmins and are sometimes referred to as Rathakara Brahmins. Most of the Vishwakarmas choose engineering, architecture, priest, sculpture etc as their career option. They are ardent followers of Brahminical teachings and their weddings are also conducted with Brahmin rituals. Hindu Vishwakarma groom wears Dhoti Kurta on his wedding and is given lot of respect by his in-laws and wife's family. Vedic notes are chanted in Vishwakarma wedding.
