The Sutar belong to the Vishwakarma community of the Hindu caste India. Some of the Sutar brides can also be found in the province of Sindh in Pakistan. Some of the Sutar have their base in Saurashtra too, where they are known as Mistry. Sutars are hard working and have earned a respectable position in the society. Suthars are conservative and strict about wedding within their community itself. The wedding follows Hindu rituals, binding a Sutar bride and groom with sacred bond.
