Nepali Hindus cover a major part of the population in Nepal, around 87 percent of Hindu the population in almost every region. Hinduism is a predominant religion in regions of Nepal and Sikkim. The importance of Nepali Hindus can proven by the fact that even Nepal's national calendar, Bikram Sambat, is a planetary Hindu calendar basically same to that, which is widespread in the North India. The Magar, Sunwar, and Rai are the Tibeto-Nepalese people, who have firm belief in the Hindu religion.
