Sikkim is a small state located in the eastern India and is inhabited mostly by Hindus and Buddhists. Nepali speaking people are settled here in great numbers and have adopted Sikkim customs. Sikkim weddings are not at all grand but a simple affair where all the guests enjoy in the occasion with music and dancing. Sikkim brides wear costumes that reflect the culture of Lepcha, Nepali and Bhutia. Lepchas are the original settlers and their Sikkimi brides wear Dumvum an ankle long wedding dress.
