Saini also known as Shoorsaini is a warrior caste and a prominent group among Sikhs. They claim descent from Yadava King Shoorsen. Though in ancient times military and agriculture were the main occupation of Saini's but today, they are diversifying in other professionals fields which include civil services, lawyers, Businessman, engineers and so on. Lord Krishna belongs to the Saini warrior clan and many families believe and profess in both Sikh and Hindu religions and inter marry freely.
