Aroras is an Indo-Aryan/Indo-European community of Punjab. Their marriages were earlier performed among their sub-groups and members of the same region. But later, the sphere of arranged matrimonies widened to others of Punjabi origin like Khatris, Bhatias and Sood. These sub-castes have mixed so well that they are now referred to as the Punjabi Aroras or simply 'Punjabi' community.
Punjabi Aroras are so liberal that their inter-caste marriages with other communities have been becoming common.
