Parsis are the members of Zoroastrian community who have descended from the group of immigrant Persian Zoroastrians. Parsi businessman is an endogamous group i.e. they marry within their community. The presence of sacred fire is involved in every ceremony.
Marriage is an occasion of social and religious importance for Parsis and so, the celebrations go on for almost a week. Parsi matrimonial involves pre wedding, wedding and post wedding rituals like Hindu weddings but their customs are different.
