Padmashali is an occupational community of weavers. The community members hail from the southern states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Some of them also reside in the states of Maharashtra and Orissa. Many Padmashali Grooms have left their ancestral work. They are educated and into diverse professions like doctors, politicians, engineers, businesspersons and bureaucrats. The community members scattered in different states, the mother tongue of all Padmashali Grooms is Telugu.
