Oriya Kshatriya
Matrimonial
Kshatriya meaning warrior is one of the four varnas in Hinduism that traditionally constituted the military and ruling elite of the Vedic-Hindu social system. The major branches of Hindu Kshatriya varna are Suryavanshi, Chandravanshi, Agnivanshi and Nagavanshi.
The matrimony of Oriya Hindu Kshatriya is simple but ritualistic, performed in the presence of friends and relatives. The folklore of fallen brave friends is sung by the Dholis or the singer community in marriages and other ceremonies.
