Menon is a Hindu community from the state of Kerala. The Menons were earlier engaged in administrative duties and were scribes in the princely states of Kerala. The members have three sub-groups like Pattola Menon, Charna Menon and Menon Panicker. Wedding among the Menon community takes place after consulting 'gotras' and horoscopes.
