Vaishnavism is a tradition of Hinduism, which is distinguished from other schools by its worship of Vishnu or his associated avatars, Rama and Krishna.
All those follow Vaishnavism are referred to as Vaishnava(s). A huge percentage of Hindus in India are Vaishnavas. The Gaudiya Vaishnava branch of the tradition has, remarkably, increased the awareness of Vaishnavism internationally, primarily through ISKCON. More recently, other organizations are also conducting preaching activities in the West.
