Saini or Shoorsaini is a warrior caste of Rajput descent and found mainly in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana. Sainis can be either Hindus or Sikhs but both respect each other‚„s traditions- Sanatani Vedic past and priests of Hindus and Gurus of Sikhs. Their main languages include Hindi, Punjabi and their various dialects.
Saini matrimony allows marriage between Hindus and Sikhs where Hindu Sainis marry according to Vedic rituals or Arya Samaj and Sikhs wed in Anand Karaj.
