Kamboj is an ethnic group from Punjab that is mainly found in India and Pakistan. Many people from this caste use Kamboj and Kamboh as their surname both in India and Pakistan; be they Hindu, Muslim or Sikh. Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu are the main languages spoken by Kambojs and Kambohs whose population is estimated to be 1.5 million approximately. Hindu Kambojs are believed to be related to Rajputs; Sikh Kambojs claim descent from Raja Karan and Muslim Kambojs have come from Kai dynasty of Persia.
