Gursikh, as commonly understood, are Sikhs fully devoted to Gurus. The word Sikh stands for ‚learners‚„ and Guru for the one who ‚dispels darkness of ignorance‚„. They may be Amritdhari or non Amritdhari but are required to walk on the path described by the Guru.
In Gursikhs, matrimony is arranged by parents of the couple and is performed in a Gurudwara. Various pre and post wedding customs like Shagun, Choora, Vatna, Gharoli, Milni, Doli, etc. are observed during the matrimonial celebrations.
