Aroras, an Indo-Aryan community of Punjab and Sindh, are related to Brahmins. Most of the Aroras living in India have their bases in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Jammu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Gujarat. They are known to be the educated class of the society and have many nobels and medallists in their clan. Aroras are very similar to Khatris in the type of rituals, occupations and traditional practises they follow and intermarriages are quite common between them.
