Malayalee Muslims are the group of people, who practise Islamic religion and speak Malayalam language. A large population of Malayali Muslims can be found living in the areas of Kerela, Lakshwadeep and Malayali Diaspora around the globe. Malayali Muslims are known as Mappilas in the region of North Kerela. They are said to be the earliest known Muslim community in India. Malayali Muslims follow the teachings of monotheism, taught by Muhammad in Arab and work in the gulf countries of the world.
