Christians form the 3rd largest population in the Kerala state. Malayalam is the spoken language of Kerala that are found in large numbers in Lakhswadeep and Karnataka as well. Malayalee Christian Catholics have blended well in the socio-cultural Indian environment and have deep traditional beliefs. They are an educated group where most of the Malayalee Catholic females are employed as nurses across India and men are engaged in various sectors. Good Friday and Christmas are their main festivals.
