Lingayats Karnataka are the people living in the Karnataka region and follow Lingayatism. Ishtalinga is the God worshipped by people following Lingayatism. According to the theology of Lingayats, there are five codes of conduct, called as Panchāchāras, Ashtāvarana – the eight "shields" and there are six levels of realization that the devotee can accomplish.
