Hindu Lingayat caste is a progressing community mainly found in Karnataka and other southern states. They are worshippers of Lord Shiva and consider him the supreme God. Hindu Lingayats are well educated people that are mainly engaged in fields of education and medicine and have opened many private colleges across India.
