Knanaya matrimony is referred to the wedding ceremony of the people belonging to Knanaya community. They are Jewish Christians living in the Kerala region of India and are the speakers of Malayalam. They are said to maintain their loyalties with the Nasrani community beloging to Syriac Christians, who are from Kerala. Knanaya matrimony does not allow its descendants to practise inter- caste marriage. They are divided into Syriac Orthodox Church, India and the other is Syro-Malabar Catholic Church.
