The Vokkaligas are an Indian caste or group found mainly in Old Mysore Region of Indian state of Karnataka. They are a politically dominant leading non-Brahmin forward caste (NBFC) in the state, also known as Okkaligars in Tamil Nadu. Hindu Vokkaligas speak Kannada as their mother tongue.
Marriages in Kannada Hindu Vokkaligas include pre wedding, wedding and post wedding rituals like Nischay Tamulam, Baraat, Kaashi Yatre, Dev Karya, Mandap Puja, Jaimala, Dhare Herdu, Vidaai and Graha Pravesh.
