Kammavar
Matrimonial
Kammavar is a social group, which is classified as Upper Shudras according to the caste system, and belongs to Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Buddhism is prevalent in Kammavar community. They are farmers, and the mass population of the community resides in villages of the southern India. Like others, Kammavar matrimony involves wedding within the same caste, as they are very orthodox about their customs and rituals, and do not believe in the concept of inter-caste Kammavar matrimony.
