The Havyaka community is believed to be the descendants of 32 Brahmins who went to the kingdom of Mayursharma. These Havyaka Brahmins originally belong to Ahicchatra in North India and have a great knowledge about the Vedas. The Havyaka grooms are mainly into private and government professions. The wedding attire for a Havyaka groom includes traditional white silk dhoti, angavastram, and sandals. The Havyaka community permits the people to choose a particular aspect of God to worship.
