Hindu Gujjars claim their descent from Suryavanshi Kshatriyas and were historically sun worshippers. They are mainly found near indo-gangetic plains and are engaged in various business related to agriculture, milk trade and production and real estate. Hindu Gujjars have set guidelines for marriage where they follow arranged marriage within the caste. Hindu Gujjar brides are dressed in bright color lehenga or saree on their wedding day and follow the rules and rituals of the community.
