Bengali Hindu Baishya, belong to one of the social orders of Hindu religion. As according to the Vedic tradition, Bengali Baishyas, are mainly involved in the occupations of artisans, cattle- herder and merchants. The Bengali Hindu Baishyas have played a significant role in shaping the economic structure of the country. Many of them are working at important positions in the government sector of India and as all Bengalis are, they are also quite intelligent and intellectual in their approach.
